Etsy Account?

So today, as I got my blog back on schedule I kept thinking about possibly making an etsy account, but first I would like your opinions. Would you buy some of the things I make or crafts on my website if I made a tutorial? For example, I made some Flower hair clips over the summer to sell. Would anyone be interested in buying these? Comment and let me know and I will take that into consideration.

Book Vase

Book Vase

Here's my tutorial for a "vase" made out of a book! This is a very inexpensive DIY project. All you need is:

-A Cheap Book (preferably paperback)
-Scissors
-A hot glue gun
-A flower (not necessary)

First, find a book and remove the front and back of it.

Then, if you are not using craft scissors, divide the book into groups of 30 pages and start cutting into a vase shape. (Repeat till your book is completely cut.)

After you have cut. Fold the binding together and hot glue. Hold closed for awhile. Then add your flower and your done!

I hope you liked this quick tutorial! Post a comment about what you think and make your own and share how it went!

Thanks,

Caleigh

Sorry,

I haven't posted in forever! Anyways, I didn't think that when HS started that things would be as chaotic as they are and I haven't gotten a chance to really do any "Crafty" things. I will try this week to put something together but I have to work, and I am going to a taylor swift concert (tough right? haha). I think I have a couple tricks up my sleeve for this week though. Anyways I apologize to anyone who has been looking forward to a project for awhile. The project I have in mind is just for fun and something to do at school so not everyone may like it. I will let you know more about it later!

Thanks,

Caleigh

Home!

Hey guys so I am finally home! With the shells I collected on my trip I planned to make cute little koalas. But here's the issue, there were no shells! All the shells were super tiny and scarce unlike the last time I had visited! That was a big bummer :( I really had some great ideas in mind for that but I don't have the supplies. Anyways, I will be doing a clutch tutorial, which I plan to start today with pictures, so that should be up soon. If the tutorial is not up speedy quick, it's because I have school orientation tommorow and school starts in less than a week. I will do what I can!

Vacation

Hey guys! So I leave for florida today and wanted to let you know, there won't be a tutorial up for a while, once I get back I plan to make the Seashell Koalas and I found a wallet clutch I would like to make! I will be posting but no tutorials until late August, but I will be starting High School so no guarantees. Hope you're having a great summer!

Ipad/Ipad 2 Case!

Hey guys! So just recently, I started making a case for my ipad 2. I found a design at this website but changed a couple of things! Overall, it came out really well and all I have to do it sew on the button! What I love about this case is that it has structure and padding.

Supplies:
-Quilt Batting ( 2 10x13" pieces)
-Outer Fabric (2 9 1/2x12 1/2" pieces)
-Inside Fabric (2 12 1/2x20" pieces)
-A binder
-A zipper or button (optional)

Feel free to change the pattern to fit what you want. Sorry, I didn't take pictures for the tutorial but I have pictures of the outcome.

First, cut the flaps off your binder into 8 1/2x 11" pieces.

Then put those aside, and place the 2 outer fabric pieces right side together and place the batting on the top and bottom, then pin it and sew.

Flip it inside out and put it aside.

Then take your binder flaps and rap them each around one piece of the inside fabric, pin then sew. Once you have separatly sewn each flap, sew the bottoms that have been sewn sewn together.

Place the binder flaps inside the batting and outside fabric. Sew if needed, if yours (like mine) stuck out a little then what I did, was fold the batting and outer fabric down and use a permanet adhesive (fancy glue!) and glue it to the inner fabric like I did!

As I say, when in doubt, use glue! Then if you want, add a button or a zipper. (It isn't needed but secures a little more.)

Overall, this DIY case was cost effective and cute! It costed a mere 9 dollars, instead of buying a 40 dollar case that you can't personalize.
